I've taught some courses during my years as a PhD student at Grenoble 1 University (Joseph Fourier) during the first semester of university years 2005-2006 and 2006-2007. The courses are described in more details below.

This module is mandatory for students engaged in a biology - biology and geology - chemistry - chemistry and biology curriculum, Science and Technology License. It takes place during the 1st and 3rd semesters.

This module consists in an introduction course to Information Technology for students in sciences other than Computer Sciences. The module aims at providing first and second year students with a better understanding of Information Technologies as a tool for scientists in other branches of sciences. It explores several thematics such as computer architecture, computer operating principles, operating systems and networking notions, basics in algorithmic and publication on the internet. The underlying approach is focused on methods, be it general methods which can be applied in other domains (problem analysis, decomposition, formulation through algorithmic and programming) and general background knowledge (computer sciences history, or computer internals).

This course consists in one 1h30 lecture and exercises session and one 4h practical session per week during 11 weeks. A more detailed description of the various sessions is available here (in french).
